God's Gifts

Gathering God's Gifts is an act of the church for now and the future.  Although, the shortage of priests and changing demographics are the driving forces in the process, the desire to create vibrant and dynamic parishes wherein we reveal the mind and heart of Jesus is our goal.
Region 4, composed of St Cecilia, St Peter, St Stephen and St Veronica, has submitted their recommendations to the Diocesan Planning Commission and Bishop Galante.  Our region suggests that St Peter's Parish follows the One Priest/One Parish Model and that St Cecilia, St Stephen and St Veronica merge.  It is important to note that, at this stage, this is only a plan that has been submitted for review by the Bishop. No decisions have been made on this plan, nor has any action taken place on the proposed changes.

The submitted plans will be reviewed during the Summer and will be returned with recommended changes in September by Bishop Galante. At that time, the planning teams will reconvene to review the plans. We ask for your continued prayers for the success of this process. Our hope is that vibrant faith communities serving our Lord Jesus Christ can and will be created in our region and throughout the Diocese.
